My brother-in-law told me that the foam on coffee, when it's made with a French press, is considered the best part of the coffee. I agree!

Supposedly, the same goes for espresso makers. But does it enhance the taste at all? I haven't figured that out yet.

It's more of a different texture than a different taste. The foam, or bloom as someone called it, is smooth, bubbly, and almost creamy. On the other hand, I'm very prone to the power of suggestion.

I just bought a French press. Very nice experience but mine alas giveth-not foam.
