My adult son assured me yesterday that my mothering style hasn't caused him to despair for his future. Haven't checked with my daughter yet but she seems happy enough so I'm hoping she'll say the same. But this cartoon seemed just a little too familiar.

No, I think it was me, but I did not say it out loud. At least, I don't think I did.
I'll have to check with my girls. I would have said that to one but not the other because she already despairs enough for her future. The other one doesn't think about it much at all. AND I would like her to!! That lily is beautiful. I want one.
I'd say that's every mother!
