Another blogger, Kitt, posted about purslane and I've been looking for it ever since (http://kittbo.blogspot.com/2008/07/weed-feed-sauteed-purslane-with-bacon.html)
I wonder if this is it? It popped up just in the last day in one of my lettuce planters. (I tried late lettuce in the garden and in planters and it's doing much better in the planters.)

Sure looks like it! Are the weeds kind of fleshy? Then it is definitely purslane.
Er, I meant leaves.
(Just spent an hour weeding. I have weeds on the brain.)
Thanks so much Kitt! Yes, fleshy is exactly how I would describe them. I hope to have the patience to let them grow a bit more before I cook them up.
