The lowly zinnia. Next year I'm going to plant miles and miles of them. They bloom all summer, love my yard, and deer won't touch them (so far).

Zinnias are not lowly! I love them. They are so sunny and cheerful and perfect in big bunches in a simple pitcher. They are glorious.
